Empowering children and teens to positively change the world through the implementation of One Health Clubs in schools.
One Health (OH) is the concept that explains the interconnection between human, animal, plant, environmental, and ecosystem health. OH employs multidisciplinary tools to solve local, regional, and global challenges, such as the current burden of infectious diseases, non communicable diseases and the changing climate. There is an urgency to educate and train young people with OH resources, to equip them with skills and nurture them to be responsible citizens as well as prepared future leaders in our fast-changing and complex world. One Health Clubs (OHCs) in upper primary and secondary schools in Rwanda, use One Health education resources already published on the One Health Commission website, and strives to develop new course content to share with teachers around the globe.
